Edward Starkey was the private attorney of the burglars of the Watergate scandal.
Biography[]
Edward Starkey was hired as a private attorney for the three burglars who took part in the Watergate scandal break-in, being hired in 1972. Starkey was an acquaintance of Nicholas Markham, and Markham recommended that The Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward speak to Starkey if he wanted more information about the break-in. Starkey told Woodward the identities of the men, identifying them as four Cuban-Americans and James W. McCord, Jr..
