
Edward Joy Morris (16 July 1815-31 October 1881) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-PA 1) from 4 March 1843 to 3 March 1845 (succeeding Charles Brown and preceding Lewis C. Levin) and from PA-2 from 4 March 1857 to 8 June 1861 (succeeding Job R. Tyson and preceding Charles John Biddle).
Biography[]
Edward Joy Morris was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1815, and he became a lawyer in 1842. He served in the State House from 1841 to 1843, in the US House of Representatives from 1843 to 1845 and from 1857 to 1861, and as ambassador to Naples from 1850 to 1853. He died in 1881.
