
Edward James Gay III (5 May 1878-1 December 1952) was a US Senator from Louisiana (D) from 6 November 1918 to 4 March 1921, succeeding Walter Guion and preceding Edwin S. Broussard.
Biography[]
Edward James Gay III was born in Iberville Parish, Louisiana in 1878, and he worked in the sugar industry before serving in the State House of Representatives from 1904 to 1918 and in the US Senate from 1918 to 1921. He left office in 1921, and he died in 1952.
