Edward the Malevolent

Edward "the Malevolent" of Scotland (1131-1108) was the King of Scotland from 1104 to 1108.

Biography[]

Edward was known as "the Malevolent" for his extremely-high dread, which bought him even higher authority. He was barely pious and a poor commander, but by 1180 he controlled Edinburgh, Inverness, and York, after taking York from the English rebels. Edward was responsible for conquering Ireland from the Irish rebels, but in 1108 England's King William the Conqueror laid siege to Dublin. King Edward and Nevin of Berwickshire were both killed in the English attack.
