Edward Howell (16 October 1792-30 January 1871) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 26) from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835, succeeding Frederick Whittlesey and preceding Joshua Lee. Born in Newburgh, he settled in Sidney, Unadilla, and Bath and served as postmaster from 1817 to 1821, as county clerk from 1818 to 1821, as district attorney from 1829 to 1834 and 1836 to 1840, in the state assembly in 1832, and in Congress.
