Edward Herrick Allen (24 April 1830-1 December 1895) was the Republican Mayor of Kansas City from 1867 to 1868, interrupting Alexander L. Harris' terms.
Biography[]
Edward Herrick Allen was born in Danbury, Connecticut in 1830, and he served in the Union Army during the American Civil War before settling in Kansas City. He cofounded the Kansas City Board of Trade and became a bank president before serving as Mayor from 1867 to 1868. He died in 1895.
