Edward Colston (25 December 1786-23 April 1852) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-VA 2) from 4 March 1817 to 3 March 1819, succeeding Magnus Tate and preceding Thomas Van Swearingen.
Biography[]
Edward Colston was born in Berkeley County, West Virginia in 1786, and he became a lawyer before serving in the US Army during the War of 1812, in the House of Delegates from 1812 to 1813, in 1816, from 1823 to 1824, from 1826 to 1827, and in 1834, and in the US House of Representatives from 1817 to 1819. He died in 1852.
