
Edward Ball (6 November 1811-22 November 1872) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-OH 16) from 4 March 1853 to 3 March 1857, succeeding John Johnson and preceding Cydnor B. Tompkins. Born in Falls Church, Virginia, he farmed near Zanesville, Ohio before serving as county sheriff from 1839 to 1843, in the state house from 1845 to 1849, and in Congress.
