Eduardo Santos Montejo (28 August 1888-27 March 1974) was President of Colombia from 7 August 1938 to 7 August 1942, interrupting Alfonso Lopez Pumarejo's terms.
Biography[]
Eduardo Santos Montejo was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1888, and he worked as a publisher. He purchased the Bogota newspaper El Tiempo in 1913 and entered politics with the Colombian Liberal Party, and he served as President from 1938 to 1942. His grand-nephew Juan Manuel Santos would later serve as President.
