Eduardo Arellano Felix (born 11 October 1956) was a Mexican drug trafficker and one of the bosses of the Tijuana Cartel. He was the organization's main boss from 2006 to 2008, succeeding Francisco Javier Arellano Felix and preceding Enedina Arellano Felix.
Biography[]
Eduardo Arellano Felix was born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa in 1956, the brother of Enedina, Francisco, Benjamin, Carlos, Ramon, Javier, and Luis. He was one of the most sophisticated of the brothers, taking over leadership of the Tijuana Cartel on Javier's 2006 arrest. He was responsible for the construction of numerous smuggling tunnels along the American border, smuggling several tons of marijuana and cocaine into the USA on a yearly basis. Eduardo was captured by the Mexican Federal Police after a shootout in Tijuana on 26 October 2008, and he was extradited to the United States on 1 October 2012 and sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2013.
