Edmund III of England (1054-1072) was the King of England from 1068 to 1072, succeeding Godwine and preceding William the Conqueror. He was the last of the Anglo-Saxons to rule England, and died in the Siege of Nottingham.

Edmund was the last of the Anglo-Saxons to rule England, coming to the throne at the age of 14 after the death of King Godwine. Taking the name of Edmund III, he led resistance to the Normans from Nottingham, with King William the Conqueror taking over Nottingham in 1072; Edmund was killed in the assault at the age of 18.
