Edgar Diaz (died 1984) was the co-leader of the Diaz Brothers gang, alongside his brother Alfonso Diaz. In 1983, they took over Little Havana following Tony Montana's disappearance, but they were killed during Montana's return to power in 1984.
Biography[]
Edgar Diaz was born in Colombia, the brother of Alfonso Diaz. The two brothers became drug lords in Miami during the 1980s, with the "Diaz Brothers" gang becoming one of the most powerful gangs in the city. In 1983, the brothers took advantage of Tony Montana's disappearance to take over Little Havana. Montana went to war with the brothers three months later, taking over several businesses in Little Havana and eliminating their gang's nests. The brothers responded by having Montana's mother killed and by attempting to kill Montana at the Babylon Club. Montana survived, and he sought vengance, arriving at Diaz Motors (formerly "Lopez Motors") with only a chainsaw equipped. He killed several enforcers before proceeding to chainsaw Edgar Diaz dead, and he went on to kill Alfonso Diaz after a car chase.
