
Ecumenical Patriarch Maximos (330-395) was the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople in 380, succeeding Ecumenical Patriarch Dimophilos and preceding Ecumenical Patriarch Gregorios.
Biography[]
Maximos was born in Alexandria, Egypt, and in 380 he was appointed as the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. Maximos was deposed by the Arianism sect, who installed Ecumenical Patriarch Gregorios in his place.
