Eckhart Lattke

Eckhart Lattke (born 3 December 1920) was a German soldier during World War II.

Biography[]

Eckhart Lattke was born in Soltau, Lower Saxony, Germany on 3 December 1920, and he was drafted into the Wehrmacht during World War II. Lattke served on occupational duty in Normandy, and he fought against the British 7th Armored Division at the Battle of Caen in 1944. On 11 June 1944, Lattke and Jannik Fleming surrendered to British soldiers at Beltot, turning over several wounded US Army prisoners-of-war to the British.
