Eckhart Kornfeld (10 April 1918 – 6 June 1944) was a German Wehrmacht soldier during World War II.
Biography[]
Eckhart Kornfeld was born in Gottingen, Germany on 10 April 1918, and he entered the Wehrmacht reserves in 1937 while working as a plastic factory worker. When World War II broke out, he was called up for service, and he was sent to garrison occupied France. On 6 June 1944, he was killed by the US Army during the Brecourt Manor Assault at the same time as the Operation Overlord invasion of Normandy.
