Eben Francis Stone (3 August 1822-22 January 1895) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-MA 6) from 4 March 1881 to 3 March 1883 (succeeding George B. Loring and preceding Henry B. Lovering) and from MA-7 from 4 March 1883 to 3 March 1887 (succeeding William A. Russell and preceding William Cogswell).

Biography[]

Eben Francis Stone was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts in 1822, and he practiced law before serving on the common council from 1851 to 1852, in the state senate from 1857 to 1858 and in 1861, as colonel of the 48th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War, as Mayor of Newburyport in 1867, and in the US House of Representatives from 1881 to 1887.
