East Ferry is a section of the The Ironbound neighborhood of Newark, New Jersey, located along the Passaic River. East Ferry Street was once a station on the Newark and New York Railroad, but infrastructure for the railroad was later demolished. The area was later used for industrial purposes, and it was often faced with flooding.
