Dunquat, also known as Pomoacan, was the Half-King of the Wyandots at the time of the American Revolutionary War. Dunquat sided with Great Britain, moving to the Ohio Country to fight the American settlers in the west. He led 200 Wyandot, Mingo, Shawnee, and Lenape warriors into battle, and he besieged Fort Henry in 1777. Dunquat was known to have protected followers of the Moravian Protestant church, relocating the Christian Indians from Sandusky to protect them from inter-tribal violence. After the war, he allied with Little Turtle during the Northwest Indian War, and he agreed to the Treaty of Greenville.
