The Duke of Gloucester Street is a major street in Williamsburg, Virginia. The street was named for Prince William, Duke of Gloucester, the late son of Queen Anne of Britain; the road was widened from a horse path to a 99-foot-wide street to connect the College of William and Mary to the Capitol building. Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton and Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom visited the historic street throughout its history.
