Duan Pidi was a Duan Xianbei chief. In 314, he conquered You Province from Han Zhao general Shi Le due to the Duan tribe's loyalty to Eastern Jin, and in 317 Bing Province governor Liu Kun fled to join Duan Pidi after the Hao Zhao took Bing. In 319, Shi Le seized You Province from Duan, and he fled to Ji Province, where he sought refuge with governor Shao Xu. Shi Hu and Kong Chang were sent to conquer Ji, and Shao was captured, while Pidi was captured in 321 while leading the last Jin forces in Ji Province.
