Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa (born 22 August 1995) is an English pop singer-songwriter from Camden, London. Born to Muslim Kosovar Albanian immigrant parents, she worked as a model before releasing her eponymous album in 2017, which featured her breakthrough hit "New Rules". She was also known for her 2018 song "One Kiss" and for her 2019 single "Don't Start Now". Lipa identified as a feminist, and she opposed Brexit, supported Sudan's transition to democracy, endorsed Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party at the 2019 general election, supported gay rights, supported Albanian nationalism, accused the Israeli government of being "fake Jews" and the Trump administration of being "fake Christians", endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 United States presidential election, and also expressed her solidarity with Palestine during the 2021 Israel–Palestine crisis.
