Biography[]
Drexl Spivey was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1958; he falsely claimed that his mother was Apache, and he came to identify with the Afrocentric Rastafari movement, wearing his hair in dreadlocks and speaking African-American Vernacular English (AAVE). Spivey became a pimp and drug dealer associated with Blue Lou Boyle of the Detroit Partnership, trafficking drugs as a courier for the Mafia, while pimping foor his main income. In 1993, he murdered two drug dealers and stole a large shipment of $500,000 in cocaine for the Mafia.
Just a few days later, however, the husband of his former prostitute Alabama Whitman, Clarence Worley, came to Drexl's brothel to demand that Drexl hand over Alabama's belongings. Drexl invited him to eat egg rolls with him, but Worley refused, and he arrogantly and defiantly gave Spivey an empty envelope, claiming that what was in the envelope was all he was willing to pay for his peace of mind. Spivey was initially amused, only to violently lash out and assault Worley with help from his bodyguard Marvin.
After savagely beating Worley and knocking him unconscious, Spivey took Worley's driver's license to identify him, and he also discovered his home address. Worley then awoke and stole Spivey's gun, shooting Marvin and Spivey. Worley had Spivey open his eyes before finishing him off with another gunshot to the head, and he inadvertently stole the suitcase of cocaine, having believed it to contain Alabama's belongings instead.
