
Dragan Covic (20 August 1956-) was President of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2 to 10 April 2003 (succeeding Mirko Sarovic and preceding Borislav Paravac), from 27 June 2003 to 28 February 2004 (succeeding Paravac and preceding Sulejman Tihic), from 17 July 2015 to 17 March 2016 (succeeding Mladen Ivanic and preceding Bakir Izetbegovic), and from 17 July 2017 to 17 March 2018 (succeeding Ivanic and preceding Izetbegovic). He was a member of the Croat HDZ BiH party.
Biography[]
Dragan Covic was born in Mostar, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia in 1956, and he had an educational and managerial career before entering politics in the 1990s. He became a member of the HDZ BiH party in 1994, and he became president of the party's city committee in Mostar in 1997. Covic would serve as President of Bosnia and Herzegovina in April 2003, from June 2003 to 2004, from 2015 to 2016, and from 2017 to 2018.
