Donnie Paduana (died 1999) was a DiMeo crime family associate. In 1999, he was whacked for making a joke in poor taste about Tony Soprano's own mother wanting him dead.
Biography[]
Donnie Paduana was a low-level associate of DiMeo crime family consigliere Mikey Palmice, and Palmice saw Paduana as a hitman who was always reliable. He was used as an intermediary to seek out contract killers and organize a hit on Tony Soprano, but his killers did not carry out the job, as there were too many witnesses. Junior Soprano was angered by this, and he decided to hold a meeting between him, Chucky Signore, Palmice, and Paduana on the side of a street. Paduana made a joke, saying that even Tony Soprano's own mother wanted him popped, and Junior Soprano, sitting in a nearby car, responded poorly to the joke when Palmice talked with him. Soprano said that he didn't like the joke, saying that he would be making jokes about him next. Palmice had Signore call Paduana back before he could leave in his car, and Palmice apologized to Paduana before shooting him through the passenger-side window.
