Dong Zhuo's Forces were the personal army of the Chinese warlord Dong Zhuo during the late Han dynasty period. In 190 AD, he seized power from the Ten Eunuchs and took control of the imperial court in Luoyang, serving as regent to the young Emperor Liu Bian. Dong Zhuo went on to poison Liu Bian and replace him with Emperor Xian of Han, and he enforced his brutal and cruel rule by executing his opponents; he was also known to be a drinker and womanizer who lived an extravagant lifestyle. When a coalition of warlords led by Yuan Shao and Cao Cao confronted him in 190 AD, Dong Zhuo was able to raise an army of 200,000 soldiers, and, despite defeats at Si Shui and Hu Lao Gates, he managed to escape by burning down the capital of Luoyang. He relocated further west to Chang'an, moving the imperial court with him. There, he was assassinated by his subordinate Lu Bu in 192 AD at the request of his lover Diaochan's father, Wang Yun, and his partisans formed their own armies; Dong Zhuo's army was divided between Lu Bu and those of his other generals, who would war with each other.
