Dominic Brunsmeier (born 13 August 1974), code-named "Bandit", is a German operative in Rainbow and a current GSG-9 agent. He was recruited to Rainbow in 2015 in the midst of the White Mask attacks.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Dominic Brunsmeier was born on August 13, 1974, in Berlin, East Germany alongside his twin Cedrick. Their father was a police officer, who encouraged his sons to follow in his footsteps in the police. The two did, joining the Bundesgrenzschutz a few days after their 18th birthday in 1992.

Police career[]

Brunsmeier was assigned to border patrol, primarily filling out paperwork and taking orders, though excelled in crisis situations. He transferred to the Aviation Group, where he learned to fly helicopters and obtain his license to do so, but he was instead flagged for undercover operations due to his experience with border surveillance and adaptability. In 1994, Brunsmeier joined a GSG-9 joint task force targeting the Red Army Faction. In 2006, after the Bundesgrenzschutz became the Bundespolizei, Brunsmeier was assigned to infiltrate the Hannover chapter of the Hells Angels. Brunsmeier's intel was critical in arresting key members of the RAF and the Hells Angels; he also honed his guerilla tactics and IED skills while undercover.

During an incident while undercover, a rival outlaw MC attacked a Hells Angels drug den based out of an abandoned auto shop outside Frankfurt. Before the rivals could get in, Brunsmeier quickly fashioned a crude electrical device out of a taser, a car battery, a copper cage, and jumper cables, and used it to electrify a metal door to fry anyone attempting to enter. He reported this to his superiors in the GSG-9, who classified it as CED-1 Shock Wires.

Rainbow career[]

In 2015, Brunsmeier was transferred out of his undercover position with the GSG-9 and into Rainbow, a multinational counterterrorist unit. He participated in several operations against the White Masks, a white supremacist terrorist organization.
