Dominic Abbandando was born in New York City, New York in 1939, the son of Italian immigrant and Corleone crime family consigliere Genco Abbandando. He went on to follow in his father's footsteps, becoming Michael Corleone's press secretary after the Corleones went legitimate. He often worked together with legal advisor B.J. Harrison to fend off questions about the family's legitimacy.
