Dolopia is a mountainous region of Greece, located between Epirus and Thessaly. During the Bronze Age, the Thessalian Dolopes were based from the town of Ctimene, and they and the Magnetes were both Hellenic peoples. In 480 BC, the Dolopes joined the Achaemenid Persian army during the Greco-Persian Wars, and they later allied themselves with King Philip II of Macedon as part of his League of Corinth.
