Djurby was a Viking city-state in England which existed from 874 to 917, with Djurby (Derby) serving as its capital. Djurby encompassed present-day Derbyshire, and it was considered to be one of the "Five Burghs" alongside Ledeborg (Leicester), Hylrborg (Lincoln), Hellirborg (Nottingham), and Steinnborg (Stamford). Djurby fell to the Mercian army of Aethelflaed in 917 and the four other burghs a year later.
