Djoser (died 2649 BC) was Pharaoh of Egypt from 2686 to 2649 BC, succeeding Khasekhemwy and preceding Sekhemkhet. The son of Khasekhemwy, he ruled over a united, 3rd Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, and he led military expeditions into the Sinai to seize its turquoise and copper.
