Dirk Pollmächer was a German Wehrmacht soldier who served in the 192nd Panzergrenadier Regiment, 21st Panzer Division in occupied France during World War II. He was captured while attempting to retake Pegasus Bridge from the British airborne forces amid Operation Deadstick.
