Dimitri Olegovych Varshavsky (8 February 1918-19 February 1968) was a Spetsnaz operative who was active in Laos with the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.

Biography[]

Dmitry Olegovich Varshevsky was born in the city of Orel in 1918 in the RSFSR. Apparently, during World War II he was already an officer, and after the war he remained to serve in special forces. Around the second half of the 60s, Varshevsky was sent to help the Viet Cong.On February 11, 1968, Woods, Mason and Bowman were captured by Kravchenko and Dragovich. And Kravchenko gave them to Varshevsky as a gift. The prisoners were kept in terrible conditions until February 19, 1968. On this fateful day, the Viet Cong forced the Americans to play Russian roulette. Bowman broke down and refused to play. Varashevsky killed Bowman for this. Beside themselves with rage, Woods and Mason vowed to take revenge for their friend. Which is exactly what happened. Having passed through the tunnels and killed 30 Viet Cong, Mason and Woods saw how the major climbed onto a hill in a cave and tried to escape. The major tried to escape, but in vain, he was killed by Mason to the joyful cries of Woods.Bowman is avenged.
