Didier Doisneau (1751-1794) was a French Navy commodore who commanded a French naval squadron in the Caribbean during the French Revolutionary Wars. In 1794, his three-ship squadron was attacked by the British Royal Navy as it sailed out of Martinique, resulting in the Battle of Sainte-Luce. Doisneau was killed when his flagship, the sloop Vile de Paris, exploded while under British fire.
