Diane Black

Diane Black (born 16 January 1951) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-TN 6) from 3 January 2011 to 3 January 2019, succeeding Bart Gordon and preceding John W. Rose.

Biography[]

Diane Lynn Warren was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1951, and she worked as a nurse before serving in the Tennessee House of Representatives from 1998 to 2005, as a member of the Tennessee Senate from 2005 to 2010, and in the US House of Representatives from 2011. She was an activist for the right-wing populist Tea Party movement within the Republican Party, and she ran for Governor in 2018.
