Derman the Kantor

Derman the Kantor (945-991) was an Anglo-Saxon farmer who served in Ealdorman Byrhtnoth's Essex fyrd during the late 10th century AD. In 991 AD, he was slain in battle with the invading Norse Vikings at the Battle of Maldon.
