Deng Hua (1910-1980) was a General of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China who commanded troops in the Korean War.
Biography[]
Deng Hua was born in Hunan Province of the Qing Dynasty in 1910, and became the Deputy Commander of the People's Volunteer Army of the People's Republic of China. After Marshal Peng Dehuai, commanding Chinese troops in the Korean War, went back to China for treatment, Deng Hua became the Political Commissar of the PRC.
He served in the Korean War as the commander of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). From 1953 to 1959 was commander of the Shenyang Military Region, and died in 1980.
