The Democratic Choice of Russia was a conservative political party in Russia that was founded in 1993. The party won 40 seats in the State Duma in the 1993 election, winning 15.1% of the vote, but Yegor Gaidar's resignation from the government led to the Democratic Choice losing its status as a pro-Boris Yeltsin party. The party values were liberal conservatism, human rights, self-determination, market economy, private capital, fair competition, and government regulation of the economy. In 2001, the party merged into the Union of Right Forces.
