Delos Rodeyn Ashley (19 February 1828-18 July 1873) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NV) from 4 March 1865 to 3 March 1869, succeeding Henry G. Worthington and preceding Thomas Fitch.
Biography[]
Delos Rodeyn Ashley was born in Arkansas Post, Arkansas in 1828, and he became a lawyer in Monroe, Michigan in 1849 before establishing a practice in Monterey, California. He served as Monterey County district attorney from 1851 to 1852, in the State Assembly from 1854 to 1855, in the State Senate from 1856 to 1857, and as State Treasurer from 1862 to 1863. He moved to Virginia City, Nevada in 1864 and served in the US House of Representatives from 1865 to 1869, and he moved to Pioche in 1871 and died in San Francisco in 1873.
