Deck Bier (1857-1898) was an American outlaw who led a criminal gang in the American South during the late 19th century. In 1898, he and several of his gang members murdered several patrons and lawmen at the Rhodes Parlour House in Rhodes, Louisiana, where they were besieged by the US Marshals. Bier was aggressive towards the onlooking outlaws Iron-Sights Jones and the Arizona Kid, shooting and wounding them both. Arizona later shot Bier as he and Iron-Sights escaped from their own shootout with the law, so Bier gave chase and hopped on their train from Rhodes to New Orleans. Arizona blasted Bier with a shotgun, killing him, but Bier's lieutenant Fulton T. Slader pursued them.
