
Dean Anderson Gallo (23 November 1935 – 6 November 1994) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NJ 11) from 3 January 1985 to 3 January 1994, succeeding Joseph Minish and preceding Rodney Frelinghuysen.
Biography[]
Dean Anderson Gallo was born in Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey in 1935, and he attended public school in Parsippany-Troy Hills in Morris County. He worked as a realtor and real estate developer before entering Republican politics, being elected to his township council in 1967. He served in both local and state politics, and he served in the State Assembly before being elected to the US House of Representatives in 1984. He represented one of the most Republican districts in the northeast, and he decided not to run for re-election in 1994 due to his diagnosis with prostate cancer; he died that same year.
