Dead Puncher (1952-) was an American professional boxer and serial killer. He started his career as a prizefighter who went undefeated for 80 matches in a row, but he had a sadistic habit of beating all of his opponents to death in the ring, angering the Mafia and resulting in him being sold to the operators of the "Bed of Styx" coliseum in Osaka, Japan during the 1980s. There, he and the other fighters were promised freedom if they could survive a year of fighting to the death in the secret coliseum. On 17 December 1988, he was taken down by Goro Majima in the ring, ending his winning streak.
