David Trone (born 21 September 1955) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-MD 6) from 3 January 2019 to 3 January 2025, succeeding John Delaney and preceding April McClain-Delaney.
Biography[]
David Trone was born in Maryland and raised on a farm in East Berlin, Pennsylvania. He went on to found a beer-only retailer, and he co-founded and co-owned Total Wine & More with his brother, serving as its president until December 2016. He launched a failed US House of Representatives bid in 2016, but he was elected to succeed retiring Democratic incumbent John Delaney in 2018.
