David Smith Bennett (3 May 1811-6 November 1894) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 30) from 4 March 1869 to 3 March 1871, succeeding James M. Humphrey and preceding William Williams.
Biography[]
David Smith Bennett was born in Camillus, Onondaga County, New York in 1811, and he became a farmer in Syracuse and Buffalo. He served in the state legislature from 1866 to 1867 and in the US House of Representatives from 1869 to 1871, and he ran his business in Buffalo until his death in 1894.
