David Kinnerk (born 1837) was a Union Army private who served in a New York regiment during the American Civil War. In 1862, he enlisted in the US Army almost immediately after after arriving in the United States from Ireland, lured in by promises of three square meals a day and US citizenship; he and hundreds of other recent Irish immigrants were then deployed to Tennessee.
