Darpan (1957-2014) was a Kyrati revolutionary and a co-founder of the Golden Path.
Biography[]
Born in Kyrat in 1957, Darpan cofounded the Golden Path with Mohan Ghale after Pagan Min's seizure of power at the end of the First Kyrati Civil War in 1987. He preferred to follow rather than lead, and he played a supporting role to Mohan Ghale until the latter's murder by his wife Ishwari Ghale in 1990. Darpan became a lieutenant to Golden Path leader Sabal and smuggled goods for the rebellion. In 2014, he escorted Ishwari's son Ajay Ghale into Kyrat as Ajay returned to his mother's homeland to scatter her ashes, but their journey into Kyrat went awry when Golden Path guerrillas in the back of the van ambushed the Kyrati border guards, resulting in a shootout. Pagan Min, who had arrived to pick up Ajay, had Darpan arrested and brought to Paul De Pleur's compound as well. There, Pagan Min stabbed Darpan with chopsticks after catching Darpan texting the rebels for help, and he then had De Pleur torture Darpan to death, while Ajay Ghale escaped the compound and joined the Golden Path as Darpan and Sabal intended.
