Darko Brankovic Brevic (14 March 1975-) was a Serbian soldier who sold out his squad of fifteen soldiers to the ARBiH for $1,000 during the Bosnian War in the 1990s. Brevic sold his squad out after becoming a drug addict, and he fled to Romania after the war, fearing that either Florian Cravic or Niko Bellic would come to avenge the squad. Brevic was kidnapped by the CIA in 2008 and brought to Bellic to meet his fate, but Bellic let the drug-addicted Brevic suffer by letting him live.

Darko Brankovic Brevic was born in the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina of Yugoslavia on March 14th 1975, to a family of Serbian Bosnian Orthodox Christians, and he served in the army of the Republika Srpska during the Bosnian War alongside fourteen other boys from his village. Brevic became a drug addict, and he was angry when he saw some of his Bosniak neighbors be killed by his Serbian comrades-at-arms. Brevic decided to sell his squad out for $1,000, as he needed to get money to help his drug habit, and he wanted to avenge the deaths of some of his friends. Only Brevic, Niko Bellic, and Florian Cravic survived the ambush by the ARBiH troops, and Bellic and Cravic knew that Brevic was responsible; Bellic suspected either Brevic or Cravic of being the traitor, and he discovered Brevic as the sole perpetrator after reuniting with Cravic in New York City in 2008.

Bellic decided to work with the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in New York and New Jersey in exchange for the CIA bringing Brevic to him, and they were able to locate him in Bucharest, Romania. They kidnapped him and delivered him to the cargo hold of the John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, and Niko Bellic and his cousin Roman Bellic drove to the airport to confront Brevic. Bellic discovered that Brevic was a junkie, and Brevic revealed that some of his neighbors had been killed by the squad during the war; he infuriated Bellic when he told him that he sold the squad out for $1,000. Brevic then begged to be killed by Niko, as he was living through hell as a drug addict. Bellic decided to take his anger out on Brevic by punching him a few times, but he walked away with Roman Bellic and let Brevic live. Brevic shouted and ran away, trapped in New York City while dependent on his addiction.
