Daniel Webster (Florida politician)

Daniel Alan Webster (born 27 April 1949) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-FL 8) from 2011 to 2013 (succeeding Alan Grayson and preceding Bill Posey), from FL 10 from 2013 to 2017, succeeding Bill Young and preceding Val Demings, and from FL 11 from 2017, succeeding Grayson.

Biography[]

Daniel Webster was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1949, and his family moved to Florida at the age of seven. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with an engineering degree, and he worked in the family air conditioning and heating business before coming to own it. Webster served in the State House of Representatives from 1980 to 1998, in the State Senate from 1998 to 2008, and in the US House of Representatives from 2011. He was a staunch conservative and a member of the Republican Party.
