Daniel Wheelwright Gooch (8 January 1820-11 November 1891) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-MA 7) from 31 January 1858 to 3 March 1863 (succeeding Nathaniel P. Banks and preceding George S. Boutwell), MA-6 from 4 March 1863 to 1 September 1865 (succeeding John B. Alley and preceding Banks), and from MA-5 from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1875 (succeeding Benjamin F. Banks and preceding Banks).
Biography[]
Daniel Wheelwright Gooch was born in Wells, Maine in 1820, and he later became a lawyer in Boston. He went on to serve in the State House in 1852 and in the US House of Representatives from 1858 to 1865 as a Republican, and he later worked as a pension agent from 1876 to 1886. He died in 1891.
