Daniel Sheffey (1770-3 December 1830) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-VA 6) from 4 March 1809 to 3 March 1817, succeeding Abram Trigg and preceding Alexander Smyth.

Biography[]

Daniel Sheffey was born in Frederick, Maryland in 1770 to a family of German immigrants, and he moved to Wytheville, Virginia in 1791 and became a lawyer in Staunton in 1802. He served in the House of Delegates from 1800 to 1804, in the State Senate from 1804 to 1808, and in the US House of Representatives from 1809 to 1817. He died in Warm Springs, Virginia in 1830.
