Daniel Radcliffe (born 23 July 1989) was an English actor. Born in Hammersmith, London, England in 1989 to a Protestant Northern Irish father and a South African-Jewish mother, Radcliffe made his acting debut at the age of ten on BBC One, and he starred in the Harry Potter film series for ten years. In 2007, he also branched out to stage acting, featuring in numerous plays. Radcliffe was also a prominent social activist, supporting suicide prevention among LGBT youth. Until 2012, he was a supporter of the Liberal Democrats, but he later switched his support to the Labor Party because of his support for Ed Milliband and Jeremy Corbyn, as well as due to his republican views.
